Smoke alarm batteries need to be changed at least twice a year. So when you change your clock back on Sunday, Oct. 26, remember to change the battery in your smoke alarm as well.
In addition to changing your batteries, be sure to test the alarm at least once a month. This simple act reduces the risk of dying in a home fire by almost 50 percent.
Please remember, "change your clock, change your battery" and make fire Prevention your business.
