On Tuesday, July 15, the Wichita City Council designated properties available for purchase by the general public. The list of available properties is now available to view on line by visiting the City’s Web site at www.wichita.gov.
Many of the proposed sale list properties are readily marketable and available for sale. There are some parcels that were acquired for highway purposes and have reversionary rights and require KDOT and/or Federal approval for sale, along with non-buildable remnants.
The City has established minimum values for each tract and these values, or the highest offer, and future use will be considered when evaluating offers.
In addition to placing the list on the Web site, the City will notify all realtors and investors in property of the properties for sale. City will pay commissions to qualified brokers. To view the list, please visit the City’s Web site at www.wichita.gov.
