Web site http://www.msn.com/ has ranked Wichita as one of the “Most Livable Cities” out of the top 100 largest cities in the country. Bert Sperling of Sperling’s Best Places evaluated the cities in 9 categories. They include low unemployment rates, short commute times and the number of entertainment options. The Web site reported:
“Wichita is one of the most affordable places in the study and has some of the best numbers for employment and job growth, thanks to a boom in agriculture and ethanol. Houses are appreciating in value, even in today's tough economy. And commute times are blessedly short. The downtown area is being revitalized with new restaurants, shopping centers and parks. Arts and entertainment facilities are stronger than one might expect for a city this size, and the community feel is strong.”

Wichita was named one of the nation’s “Most Livable Cities,” in part because of its entertainment appeal. The city’s top entertainment destination is Old Town, a nominee for the 2008 “Great Places in America” competition. A video is attached.
