The City of Wichita is proud to introduce the Wichita Ambassadors. Our Ambassadors completed multi-faceted training in hospitality and customer service, emergency response and first aid, public transportation and City services. They work directly with all departments of the City of Wichita, local businesses, professional agencies and the Wichita travel and tourism industry.

Our Ambassadors provide parking management, monitor public safety, extend a helping hand in emergency situations and call on area merchants on a regular basis. They're here to promote downtown, resolve concerns and deter criminal activity. Our goal is to make downtown Wichita a better, safer and friendlier place to live visit, shop and conduct business. Our vision is a progressive, dynamic downtown experience.

Visitors and patrons get the lowdown. How many times have you stopped to ask for help only to find yourself more lost and confused than when you started? Our Ambassadors will greet you with a warm and friendly smile and provide accurate directions and local information to get you on your way. There are no silly questions. Just ask.

Downtown businesses get the scoop. Confused by who to call about that double-parked '74 Plymouth Valiant? That broken street lamp? A parking meter that doesn't keep time? That new artwork (graffiti) on the side of your building?

Whether it's directing a customer to your business, enforcing parking regulations or addressing your concerns, our goal is to make Wichita a better place to do business. Think of us as the eyes and ears of downtown. Our Ambassadors will resolve your problem or connect you with someone who can.

How do I get the skinny? The Wichita Ambassadors are mobilized in the areas between Washington, McLean, Central and Kellogg streets, Monday through Friday.
