Spacenets
Introduced in Europe over 25 years ago and distributed exclusively in the U.S. by Landscape Structures, Spacenets are imaginative, three-dimensional "webs" made of incredibly durable, user-friendly Corocord rope. They are completely interactive play experiences that challenge both motor and logic skills. Spacenet's spatial geometry invites kids to climb on, within and through them. Entire groups of kids can get in on the fun as Spacenets swing, vibrate and spring with every move.

Each six-stranded, galvanized steel Corocord rope is wrapped tight with durable polyamide/nylon. An induction process is used to heat the inside of each strand, "welding" the steel and nylon together. Net ropes are 3/4" in diameter with a polypropolene core to provide strength and flexibility. Edge ropes are 7/8" in diameter with a steel wire core for added strength.
The result: Spacenets are strong as steel yet easy on tender arms, legs and hands. Spacenets are exceptionally flexible yet hold their shape forever. They repel moisture yet ensure a tight grip. What's more, they are weather-resistant and UV stable (20+ year old Spacenets are still in use today).
Thrills without the spills. Spacenet's unique internal web-like matrix prevents direct falls to the playground surface. Because of Spacenet's regular spatial geometry, kids intuitively know where to reach next - special mesh joints and thick hand or footholds are always within easy reach.
| Boredom-proof, Tamperproof |
Spacenets are fun for kids, frustrating for vandals. Rope nets attach to each other using stainless steel S-clamps that, when closed with a hydraulic press, are practically immovable. Special turnbuckles are fitted with self-locking counter nuts as well as other vandal-resistant fasteners. Ropes have immovable, smoothed aluminum swages. Thick, steel-reinforced rubber safety membranes are nearly indestructible, even when assaulted with sharp tools. Spacenet's unique construction naturally discourages graffiti, as well. Fire, abrasion, you name it - Spacenets resist everything but kids.
